The dream of the designer, Michel Deville, the dream of those awaiting to come aboard, and of those coming back for another dream cruise. Proportions outside of the ordinary have created the largest and most comfortable wooden sailing vessel in all of Indonesia. Waow evokes sentiments of the southern seas, liberty and adventure.
The three mast vessel was built from ironwood using the ancient techniques of the “Pinisi shipwrights” of Sulawesi, techniques dating from the 14th century. This exceptional wood judiciously carries its name signifying “Iron Wood”.
With impressive, majestic and refined lines, Waow offers her passengers the luxury of space not found on any other sailing ships. Her lines are the work of the designer who also assured the decoration with his artworks both in glass and painting. The master builder, M. Adji, reproduced with fidelity the project while respecting the tech- nical necessities indispensable for the functioning and security of WAOW.
With a total of 9, these luxurious cabins offer everything you would expect from a vessel of this standing: lounge area with sofa and coffee table, a table which can be used as an office, a cupboard, multi-media screen, internet connection, private bathroom with shower, separate WC and air conditioning.
“Master Cabin” of 45m2 at the aft of the upper deck also benefiting from a large private sun deck, elegantly furnished.
The cuisine will permit guests to sample local specialties on board, sometimes spicy, yet able to be adapted to the occidental pallet. European meals will also be available. The chefs are Indonesian, however, for luxury private charters it will be possible to have a French, Thai or Chinese Chef. The menus can be adapted to cater for vege- tarians and those with special dietary requirements on simple request.
A TV and media system in each cabin provides the possibility to enjoy a database of over 600 films in English and 200 in French, or to listen to a large collection of music. WiFi and Internet are also available in each cabin.
