Malaysia – Borneo

Palawan, the name was most probably given by the Chinese as far back as the 9th Century. They called it Pa-Lau-Yu, or “land of beautiful safe harbour”. Palawan is made up of 1,768 islands and is the second largest province of the Philippines. Palawan is also one of the Last Unexplored Islands in the Pacific. Renowned underwater explorer Jacques Costeauhas described Palawan as having one of the most Beautiful Seascapes in the world. Sprawled beneath the seas are nearly 11,000 square kilometers of coral reefs. Myriads of fish swim in these underwater gardens. Palawan is the island of the Philippines, which could preserve her naturalness best of all.

Sabah has long been an exiting holiday destination for lovers of nature, culture, diving and adventure. Known as the “Land Below the Wind”, this lush corner of Borneo lies outside of the typhoon belt free from major climatic disturbances, and is bounded by 3 seas: the South China Sea, the Sulu Sea, and the Celebes Sea. Here you will find tropical islands, including coral atolls and oceanic islands, pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, giant rivers, dense tropical jungle, high mountains, and an abundance of nature & wildlife. It is precisely the convergence of these factors that make Sabah one of the most bio-diverse lands in the world and a cruising destination with so much to offer.

Pulau Tiga, known as the original “Survivor Island‟ where the reality TV show was first filmed. The islands were formed on September 21, 1897, when an earthquake on Mindanao caused a volcanic eruption near Borneo.
